Margie had been the last to leave the local art gallery’s exhibition of impressionist paintings.
The gallery was now closed for the night, and she was standing next to her car in the empty parking lot
rooting around in her purse for her keys when she thought she felt something brush against her legs.

She looked down and saw a tuxedo kitten who seemed to be about six months old looking up at her appealingly
Margie found her keys, unlocked the car, and picked up the kitten, saying, “You little darling! I’m going to call you Tuxie.”

She stopped at an all-night convenience store and bought kitten chow, kitty litter, and a litter box.

Two hours later, Margie put on her favorite light blue nightgown with the pink, red, yellow and white roses, and got into bed.

Having a new pet felt exquisite.

The kitten snuggled up to her, purring.
