Sylvia had just naughtily taken down her mother’s best gold-edged, rose-patterned decorative plate.
The door opened, making her nervous.
The plate lay in what looked like at least a hundred pieces on the floor.
Sylvia’s little sister Debbie, with whom she’d had a fight earlier, came in, eating a Yodel.
“Look what you made me do, Debbie!”
