Litany

I’ve composed a Litany.

 Litany of Adoration
(based on the Mysteries of Holy Rosary)
[for private use only]

Lord have mercy.
Christ have mercy.
Lord have mercy.
Christ hear us.
Christ graciously hear us.

God, the Father of heaven, have mercy on us
God the Son, Redeemer of the world,
have mercy on us
God the Holy Spirit,
have mercy on us
Holy Trinity, one God,
have mercy on us

Holy Mary,
pray for us

Jesus, Word made Flesh,
We adore Thee
(repeat after each invocation)
Jesus, carried to Elizabeth in Thy Mother’s womb,
Jesus, born in a humble stable,
Jesus, presented in the Temple,
Jesus, found among the Doctors,
Jesus, baptized by John in the Jordan River
Jesus, changing water into wine,
Jesus, proclaiming the Kingdom of Heaven,
Jesus, transfigured on the mountain,
Jesus, instituting the Holy Eucharist,
Jesus, agonizing in the Garden,
Jesus, scourged at the Pillar,
Jesus, crowned with thorns,
Jesus, carrying Thy Cross,
Jesus, dying on the Cross,
Jesus, risen from the dead,
Jesus, ascending to Heaven,
Jesus, sending the Holy Spirit,
Jesus, taking Thy Mother to Thyself,
Jesus. crowning Thy Mother Queen of Heaven,

Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world,
spare us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world,
graciously hear us, O Lord.
Lamb of God, who takest away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us.

Lord Jesus,
grant that we may love and adore Thee
with all our hearts
with all our minds
and with all our strength,
now and forever.

Amen

(The hymn, “Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee” may be sung if desired.)
