It feels so good to be out of bed. I was practically flat on my back for days, drinking mostly ginger ale…. plus some tea…. and nibbling on saltines.
I had a blood test three o’clock yesterday morning, and blood tests are very difficult for me because I have itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny yellow polka dot… oops!….. well, extremely small veins. They’ve been checking everyone’s blood. I’m glad my test is over with.
I’d given up wearing nail polish for Lent. The plan was that E. B. from recreation would polish my nails this week, but the quarantine ended that plan. Also, Friday, under normal circumstances, is the day the people from the beauty parlor and barber shop come to do people’s hair. Those who want it done arrange it in advance. I was going to arrange to have mine done… have my color touched up, and get a wash and trim. My natural color is brown, but about six months ago I had it dyed Sunny Auburn. I’d wanted auburn hair for a long time, and I finally took the plunge. I love the Anne Of Green Gables books, by L. M. Montgomery, and, more importantly, my beloved maternal grandmother had auburn hair. She kept a braid, and it was still shining years later.
And believe me, Baba would not like not being able to have her hair done.
It feels so good to be blogging again!
