We're Living In A Wonderful Time

Wait a minute? How can I call this time wonderful with that coronavirus going around?

Well, I’m not calling the pandemic wonderful, and I’m not calling the quarantine wonderful.

What I’m saying is that, in spite of the dangers, uncertanties, and inconveniences (to put it mildly!) we’re now experiencing, this is still a wonderful time. It’s a wonderful time compared to the days when nobody had ever heard of recorded music, telephones, radio, television, or the Internet. Thanks to these things, we can, despite social distancing, still keep in touch, and still keep ourselves entertained.

And perhaps now, people who cannot physically touch each other even though they are in the same room will get closer in another way… by talking more to each other.
